Powerful Women

Here are two videos that have recently grabbed my attention, because they are interesting and powerful. The first is Laura Marling's Devil's Spoke. The second is The Kingdom, by Jesca Hoop. Both women are talented singer-songwriters, and both songs have a compelling rhythm.

Here's Jesca Hoop's The Kingdom. I found this while I was trying to find a video for a different song I heard on the radio.



It turns out Jesca Hoop was once a nanny for Tom Waits's children. What a gig that would be!
